RSS Implementation Plan - August 2009
Abstract
The Regional Spatial Strategy (RSS) is the statutory landuse planning framework, which translates the vision for the North East into a long term spatial strategy for the delivery of an urban and rural renaissance in the region. The updated Implementation Plan identifies delivery agents and mechanisms, procedures for monitoring the Regional Spatial Strategy's implementation, including targets and indicators, and procedures for reviewing the Regional Spatial Strategy. The plan forms the basis for informing lower level strategies, plans and programmes and the programmes of key delivery agencies such as the Regional Development Agency, the Highway Agency and the rail industry.
