Wind Farm Development and Landscape studies: East Durham & Tees Plain Addendum - Erratum
Abstract
Following the completion of the East Durham Limestone and Tees Plain wind farm development study in August 2008, there has been a significant amount of developer interest in the Tees Plain area. As a result, the Association of North East Councils, in conjunction with Darlington Borough Council, Durham County Council, Hartlepool Borough Council and Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, have commissioned Arup to undertake a high level cumulative impact assessment exercise for current wind farms in the Tees Plain area. This will be at both application and scoping stage. This high level cumulative assessment is intended as an addendum to the East Durham Limestone and Tees Plain studyand has been based on the methodology used for cumulative effects: scenario modelling throughout the series of landscape capacity studies. The purpose of the study is to provide the relevant councils with a tool they can use to assess planning applications in their district and to help inform the development of their Local Development Framework. Please note that in section 4 the conclusion has changed as a result of a drafting error.
