Filling in the picture: Homelessness in the North East and learning what can be done about it
This research project was commissioned by the Association of North East Councils (ANEC), as part of establishing the evidence base for the North East Strategy. This homelessness research will sit alongside research about the North East's private rented sector, and an evaluation of how well the housing needs of Gypsies and Travellers and Travelling Showpeople are being met in the region. It is the first piece of research carried out across the North East to look at homelessness beyond the basic statutory groups.

Gypsy and Travellers and Travelling Showpeople sites - regional analysis
The Association of North East Councils (ANEC) commissioned HQN and Housing Vision Consultancy in February 2010 to undertake a regional analysis of the approach taken to identifying and meeting the accommodation and related needs of Gypsy and Traveller and Travelling Showpeople communities. The output from this project will be used to inform policy and resource planning and the development and delivery of the new regional strategy.

Flexible Tenure Thinkpiece
Nathaniel Lichfield and Partners (NLP) with support from arc4 were commissioned by the North East Housing Board (NEHB), through the Association of North East Councils (ANEC) to explore the benefits and practicalities of developing a more co-ordinated approach to developing flexible tenure productions in the North East.
